Plain-language summary (not a substitute for reading the full terms): Mother is an AI-powered family assistant. You own your data. We process it only to provide the service. The service is currently free during private beta — paid subscriptions will be introduced later with at least 30 days' advance notice. These terms are governed by English law.
Mother is operated by Mother AI Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales (Company Number: 13585321), with its registered office at Grand Union Studios, 332 Ladbroke Grove, London, England, W10 5AD.
"Mother", "we", "us", or "our" refers to Mother AI Ltd. "You" or "your" refers to the individual accessing or using the service. "Service" means the Mother application, website (hellomother.co.uk), waitlist, and any related features.
Questions about these terms: info@hellomother.co.uk
By accessing the Mother website, joining the waitlist, downloading the application, or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
If you are using Mother on behalf of a family unit, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms on behalf of that household and take responsibility for ensuring family members using the service comply with them.
Mother connects to your existing calendars, email, notes, and messages to help manage the operational demands of modern family life. The service uses AI to recognise, organise, and surface information — drafting communications, creating briefings, and surfacing what needs your attention.
Beta status. The service is currently in private beta. Features may be incomplete, change without notice, or be removed entirely. We will communicate material changes to active users where practicable, but cannot guarantee continuity of any specific feature during the beta period.
Not professional advice. Nothing within Mother constitutes legal, medical, financial, safeguarding, or other professional advice. The service is an organisational tool. For decisions with legal, health, or financial consequences, consult a qualified professional.
AI limitations. Mother uses artificial intelligence to process and surface information. AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or contextually wrong. You are responsible for reviewing any AI-generated content — including drafted communications, reminders, and summaries — before acting on it or sending it.
To use Mother you must be at least 18 years old and resident in a country where the service is available. The service is currently available in the United Kingdom only.
You agree to:
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or where we have reason to believe account security has been compromised.
Joining the Mother waitlist does not create a contract, guarantee access, or establish any queue or priority. Waitlist membership means you have expressed interest in early access and consented to receive product updates and communications from us.
We invite users from the waitlist at our sole discretion. We may close the waitlist, pause invitations, or discontinue the programme at any time without notice.
You may remove yourself from the waitlist at any time by emailing info@hellomother.co.uk or by unsubscribing from any email we send you.
Current beta period. The service is currently provided free of charge during private beta. No payment is required to join the waitlist or to participate in the beta programme.
Future paid subscriptions. Mother intends to introduce paid subscription tiers following the conclusion of the beta period. When paid subscriptions are introduced, we will give all active users and waitlist members at least 30 days' advance notice before any charge is applied. You will never be charged without explicit prior notice and the opportunity to opt out.
Planned pricing (subject to change with notice):
A 14-day free trial will be available for new users when paid subscriptions launch.
Billing. When paid subscriptions are introduced, billing will be processed through Apple's in-app purchase system. Subscriptions will renew automatically each month unless cancelled. Full billing terms will be provided at the point paid subscriptions are activated.
Cancellation. When paid subscriptions are live, you will be able to cancel at any time through your Apple App Store account settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Mother). Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period with access retained until that date.
Your statutory rights. When paid subscriptions are introduced, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 will apply. You will have a 14-day right to cancel a digital service contract from the date of purchase. By actively using the service before that period ends, you acknowledge that you are requesting early supply and waive this cooling-off right to that extent. This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Mother is distributed through Apple's App Store. Your use of the application is subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions in addition to these terms.
Apple is not a party to these Terms of Service and is not responsible for the service or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Mother. In the event of any failure to conform to applicable warranties, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app; Apple has no further warranty obligation in respect of the application.
Apple is not responsible for any claims by you or a third party relating to the application, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property claims. Any such claims should be directed to Mother AI Ltd at info@hellomother.co.uk.
You agree not to use Mother to:
Breach of acceptable use may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without notice, and may be reported to relevant authorities where required.
Your ownership. You retain full ownership of all content, data, and information you provide to Mother — including calendar data, emails, notes, messages, and any other personal information connected to the service. We make no claim of ownership over your content.
Licence to us. By using the service, you grant Mother AI Ltd a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, revocable licence to access, process, store, and use your content solely to provide the service to you. This licence ends when you delete your content or close your account.
How we use your data. We do not use your personal data to train AI models for third parties, serve advertising, or sell data to anyone. Our full data practices are set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Third-party connections. When you connect third-party services such as Google Calendar, Gmail, iCloud, or Apple Notes, you confirm you have the right to grant Mother access to that data. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms of service.
Family members. If you add family members or other users to your account, you confirm that those individuals are aged 18 or over (or are your dependent children for whom you have parental responsibility), and that they have been made aware their data will be accessible within the shared account. You are responsible for managing their access and permissions appropriately.
Data on account closure. When you close your account, we will delete your content within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law. You may request an export of your data before closing your account by emailing info@hellomother.co.uk.
The Mother application, website, software, AI systems, and all related materials are owned by or licensed to Mother AI Ltd and protected by UK and international intellectual property law.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the application for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these terms. This licence does not include the right to copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our prior written consent.
"Mother AI" is a trademark of Mother AI Ltd. You may not use it without our express written permission.
Mother integrates with third-party services including Google Calendar, Gmail, Apple Calendar, iCloud, WhatsApp, and others. These integrations are provided for your convenience. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, or conduct of any third-party service.
If a third-party service modifies or restricts its API or policies in a way that affects Mother's functionality, we will use reasonable efforts to maintain the integration but cannot guarantee continuity of any specific connection.
We aim to provide the service without interruption but do not guarantee continuous availability. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to planned maintenance, updates, technical failures, or circumstances beyond our control.
We reserve the right to discontinue the service permanently. If we do, we will give reasonable advance notice and, once paid subscriptions are in place, provide a pro-rata refund of any prepaid subscription period.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
Subject to the above, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:
As a UK consumer, you have statutory rights that cannot be excluded. These terms do not affect those rights.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mother AI Ltd, its directors, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your breach of these terms; (b) your use of the service in a manner not authorised by these terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights. This clause does not apply to the extent a claim arises from our own negligence or breach.
By you. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at info@hellomother.co.uk. Once paid subscriptions are live, cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store settings before your next billing date.
By us. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately and without notice if you breach these terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to us, other users, or third parties. Once paid subscriptions are in place, termination for cause will carry no refund. In all other cases of termination initiated by us, any prepaid subscription fees will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
Effect of termination. On termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law survive termination.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify active users by email with at least 14 days' notice before the change takes effect.
If you do not accept revised terms, you may close your account before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Entire agreement. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mother AI Ltd regarding the service.
Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions continue in full force.
Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
Third parties. These terms do not create rights enforceable by third parties under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in the courts of their home nation.
Before escalating any dispute to legal proceedings, contact us at info@hellomother.co.uk to attempt informal resolution. We will respond within 14 working days.
